Good afternoon everyone. The whole crew started work in the afternoon after lunch because we, the interns have to go Daly City to get our social security pass done .
I started the afternoon by resetting the whole set up for green screen . Previously we already have a set up but because of Thanksgiving dinner event shoot. We shifted most of the stuff and the studio is in a mess. Me and Ed work on the setup making sure everything is in place and neaten the place.
After setting up, Me and Ed helps Phi with shifting the props from the warehouse to the Sanctuary for christmas sing.
After that we went up to the machine room to tidy up the cables. Some cables was not needed anymore so we have to remove it and coil it. As the production house is shifting the control room to within a trailer, a large part of the cables is no longer needed.
After tidying up the machine rooms and terminating some new coaxial cables we called it a day.

Good morning everyone . I started out the day by tidying up cables under the table, making sure that the cables is not having too much slack, or to little slack that it causes the join to have a strain. After that I assisted Ed in the labeling of cables.
Then I terminated the coaxial cables for the blackburst.
After lunch, I went back to the trailer to work . I was task to solder the audio cables into the panels. Phi demo for me the first audio cables after that I was on my own . I solder 3 of the audio cables and then label them and lay them neatly making sure there is a enough amount of slack.
After finishing up the soldering of the audio cables Phi then teaches me how to Solder a TRS cables.
Is a different layout. So it took me quite awhile before i get it.
After I finish the soldering, I went around to label different cables. I then use a heat gun to shrink the plastic sleeve for the cables. After finishing labeling the cables, I was tasked to terminate the BNC Cables between the box and the panel outside the trailer. I work together with Nicholas on it.
After finishing it , I patch up the feed between the panel and the trailer. We then went on to test the new vision mixer. It is so different, the new vision mixer keys glows when it is in a low light mode. I then work together with Phi and Harry on the feeds but apparently we only manage to get two feeds up.
By then, it was getting late so we call it a day

Good morning all. We started the day by feeding cables in the sanctuary. Ed & Harry have to drill a hole in the the wooden structure while Victor have to climb through a series of tight tunnels before able to fish out the cables. This took us the whole morning.
After lunch, I run two set of speaker cable & Fiber optic together with Ed through the false ceiling for the cameras. We fish it across the false ceilings. It took us quite awhile to get it done.
Top view from the scaffolding, today it feel pretty weird on the scaffold because the board I am stepping on doesn't have a door. We have to climb in through the other way. Most of us who went out have a hard time climbing back down through the tight opening .
After finishing up laying the cables, we then went up the studio and reset the lighting and shoot the Thanksgiving message ( English version ). I mic up Rev. Fung and was the slate/ logger for the day.
After the shoot we review and transfer the footage. We tidied up the studio and then call it a day. As the whole mass media ministry have a mini get together for thanksgiving.

Good Morning everyone. We started off the day by editing what we shot yesterday. I bring the files to premiere . At first we were having problem syncing the time code, i though it was a premiere pro fault only to realize ed didn't transfer the file properly hence the two different shots started at different time code and there was a file that have a shorter duration. We fixed the problem and quickly started our offline edit. After getting approval we then key out the green .
While Ed was keying out the green Nic and Me fixed up 1 benches for the props. Its was so funny and messy while we working on it because there alot of other people that is helping us. Everyone have their own suggestion and way of handling the bench.
After fixing up the bench , we then went to the sanctuary to fix the fibre optic panel on the wooden divider.
After lunch, we started pulling more cables. Nicholas was up at the scaffold while I was supporting him from bottom in whatever he needs and do.
We manage to fix a set of cable through a tiny passageway. From the picture at the hole area we drill a hole through the wall to reach the other end so that we can feed the cable through for other camera.
It was a mess at the other end, as it was a tight angle i have to laterally invert myself to find the hole and where is the fish.
After finishing laying all those cables, I then help Harry tear down all the cameras. Phi then solder those cables that we pull onto the panel while Nicholas & Ed was feeding the cables back to the machine room. We then coil back those old cables and pack them up nicely in the control room.
We then pack up matthew our holding room.
The crew then went to SF Cutters. It was a fun experience unfortunately none of us win anything. I wish i can get this pillow but apparently this pillow is just for showcase at Adobe building.
That all for the day. Its going to be a long weekend and I cant wait for it.

Good morning everyone. Starting the day by shooting Rev. Poon thanksgiving message. It went smoothly and we were done within the third take. Today was a little bit different we have 2 screen set up for each camera. After the shoot was done Ed & Nicholas went to the edit room to edit while i tear down the equipments and prepare the equipments for the thanksgiving event shoot.
After the shoot, I was handled a To Do List. Here is a list of what to do for the day. I started off by packing the equipment for a interview shoot, but the shoot got cancel. So i have to unpack everything.
After unpacking, i then pack another set of equipment for tomorrow thanksgiving, which you can see it below . As last week we already have one show. I was able to remember what we use last week so it was easier for me to pack this time round. It was more neat.
After packing the stuff needed, I then terminated 4 power cables for the cameras.
After terminating those cables for the camera, Harry then guided me on the fiber optic cable. Something went wrong in the fiber optic cable , the cables are reverse so I have to constantly flip and flop the cables to troubleshoot and find the cause of the problem.
After that i set up the cameras with phi and harry for the sanctuary. I have to mount a new follow focus arm on to the tripod. It wasn't that hard but it was interesting to me. I always though that the mount is stick together to the arm, but it is actually detachable.
After setting up the cameras, we manage to get feed on the screens after troubleshooting it for about 30 minutes. We realize that the cable was flip flop and some settings on that CCU needed to be change before we are able to get the feed.
After that i was running errands for the crew, terminating cables, helping around whichever department that need a assistant.
After dinner, we set up for thanksgiving event. It a similar set up as previous week so we were rather comfortable with it. After that we set up the new K Array speaker. The speaker sound pretty good and have a rather good bass. After the setup was done we call it a day.
That all for friday, tomorrow is thanksgiving Cantonese and it will be a live show. We manage to complete almost everything on today's to do list. Everything seems good hopefully on sunday we can operate the church service in the trailer .

Good morning everyone. In the morning , I spent a whole bulk of my time with Phi trying to troubleshoot what went wrong with the feed from the camera to the vision mixer. After lunch, I spent about and hour observing rehearsal for the Cantonese Thanksgiving, as night I will be the camera operator for the event.
After observing rehearsal, I then proceeded back to the trailer to work on graphics for lowerthird on the tricaster itself. It took me and Phi quite awhile before we could get it done because is a different version and alot of function and keys have been remove and new advance techniques have been added.
After troubleshooting the whole day on the trailer we only manage to get 1 camera running and very weirdly one of the remote camera that was down suddenly was able to get live feed. Most of the time i was spent trying to clean the fiber optic making sure it is not dust that is affecting the feed.
During evening, I went down to cafeteria to cover the Cantonese Thanksgiving I was the camera operator and i was basically covering Wide Shoot and Middle shots, it was fun because previously we only have 2 cameras and today harry decided to add in one more.
The Thanksgiving Short Film that we reedited was also quite well received and people actually laugh at it. I feel the sense of accomplishment.
That all for the day, One more thanksgiving event to cover and next up christmas sing

Good Morning everyone, I started out the day by patching and starting up everything in the trailer. Today marks the day the first time the trailer was being used. 16 x 9 !. Due to certain circumstances, we only have 1 Camera & 3 remote camera, but the canto church service still went well. I was the Technical Director for it, I have to make sure the exposure and white balance for the camera is good. Harry guided me on how to operate the CCU.
After the canto service was over, I was guiding Jessica on Camera in the sanctuary before going back to trailer to observe the show. Harry was directing the show but due to some technical issues that Harry have to settle for the sound, I was given a chance to direct the second half of the show. It was pretty smooth I must say. Thank You Harry.
Here is the link to the service.

After lunch, I then went to the cafeteria to prepare to shoot for the English Thanksgiving . As usual I was in charge of Camera 2 everything went smoothly nothing major happen. After the shoot, the tech crew then clear everything and load back to Matthew or studio floor as it is getting late and the crew is tired, the team decided to unpack tomorrow instead.
That all for my wonderful weekends. Hopefully time will past slowly and i can work on shows, Definitely will come back and work here again after my internship if i have a chance.
