Harry, our boss plan a trip to outlet for us so we took a day off today.

Good morning everyone. I started the day by clearing up the trailer. After clearing up the trailer I then went to the Sanctuary to Velcro up the Mic cables on the cameras. The reason why I did that was to prevent any tensions on the cables.
After finishing up the audio cables, Harry guided me on how to solder a TRS cables. I manage to successfully solder a TRS cable after numerous attempt. It was a really tedious process but harry was really patience in guiding me.

Good Morning everyone started the day with a bang. It was raining heavily and I was struggling to keep up with it. I was on my jacket yet i can still feel the heavy rain drops hitting on me. I was tasked to terminate the RJ 45 cable. The tools was in the trailer hence I have to walk in the rain.
I took like an hour before terminating one, but it fail miserably. But like what Phi and Harry say we all learnt from our mistake. I learn from my mistake and with Harry's guidance I manage to terminate 1 after lunch.
So we have 8 Signal up and running for the cameras.

Good morning everyone. I started the day by clearing up the trailer. After clearing up the trailer I then went to the Sanctuary to Velcro up the Mic cables on the cameras. The reason why I did that was to prevent any tensions on the cables.

After lunch I finish up another TRS cable for the distribution amp to the mixer
After patching the cables, I then make a coaxial cable that link between the computer graphic computer to the Video Smart Hub to enable streaming. Me and Harry did alot of troubleshooting for the computer before we manage to get the stream to work properly. We did alot of trial and error , but unfortunately we were unable to get it working without letterbox but at least the stream was able to work.
After mounting the CO alarm, we then mount the drawer into the rack and call it a day.

Look it is a success sign, Harry do it like in 1/6 of my time , less than 10 mins.
After terminate the RJ 45, I clean up some cables and relay some cables for the edit room and intercoms from the machine room to the edit room.
After that i help Ed to unsolder some XLR cables joints and then he solder it back to a new set of cables.
After soldering those cables, I went to set up the wireless camera for the Tricaster to check if it works, while the rest were testing the intercoms.
At first I wasn't able to get it but after numerous errors I manage to figure what went wrong and hook it up to the console.
After setting up the stuff, Harry was basically showing me how to stream stuff using youtube and we are comparing it with ustreams and all . We did a different type of settings and youtube works fine for our video with no letterbox while ustream doesnt work it come with additional blackbars.
We also test the limit of the computer for streaming, we try streaming in Full HD and it take 97% of the processing power while a 480p take about 69%. After testing out various settings and it works we call it a day.

Good morning everyone, started the day by clearing the studio after that i drill in the drawers and panels onto the racks to neaten up the place. Here's a picture of me in the hole between the panel when it wasn't seal yet.

After lunch we have a mini training. Harry teaches everyone how to operate the new cameras . I was in the control room controlling the CCU, as we have more program coming up.

Good morning everyone. I started in the morning helping Phi to tap the markings for him to paint.
Today is the Mandarin ChristmasSing event . Before the event started we tidy up the trailer and install the final set of drawers . We have to cut and paste those linens for it. I also assisted Harry in the livestreaming for youtube as we are moving platform from ustream to youtube, I figure it was good for me to learnt it now. At night, we have the very first ChristmasSing event. I was the Camera 1 for the day. Everything went smoothly. I was cover the close up mostly which is something I like. After sealing up the racks, I lay a bnc cable across from the director's table to the back so that in case of emergency we got alternate ways to stream the video. We can use a back up computer.
We then head out to home depot to buy some stuff and refunded the CO2 that was broken .
After lunch we headed back to install more panels for the racks and install the CO2 alarm, we tidy up the place and call it a day.
Good morning everyone , started out the day by guiding IRA on how to operate the some of the equipments in the trailer. After that I was tasked to check the fiber optic cables with Victor. It was a good experience, as it is a completely new for me.
After checking the fiber optic cables we found out 4 cables were bad. So Victor teaches me how to terminate a fiber optic cable. It was really different from the other cable such as the coaxial & xlr cables.
I started practicing on those cables that is not of use anymore. I was struggling at first but with victor guidance i manage to do it. A fiber optic cable is just like a strand of hair, now i completely understand how dangerous it can get if we mishandle it.
After re terminating all those cables we manage to get 2 out of the 4 running . At first we were having problems with 4 cables. Victor also taught me how to maintain a fiber cable. Using the wraps and all cleaning off the extra shield.
After dinner, we have christmassing mandarin rehearsal, I was meddling with camera and the vision mixer so that i can warm up for the show . I also sit in through the show to get a sense of how the performers is place so that i can properly frame up.
After the rehearsal, we called it a day.

Good morning everyone. We have 3 events to cover today. We start out with the Cantonese Sunday Worship service. During it I was trying my best to run all errands in the trailer and for the crew. As we have a lack of crew, I frame up all the shot for the cameras in the sanctuary that have no operators . After that I went back to the trailer and help up with the streaming.

After the Cantonese service, I was doing the streaming again for the english service. I manage to do it again despite we having to restart the system because the capture card have some issues.
After lunch, we have the Lawton Preschool Christmas Program, I set up the streaming and guide Kristina on the steps to operate it. After that i went to sett up camera 1 . I was camera 1 for this program. I was covering most of the close up again, doing occasionally zoom out. After the show we burn the dvd and went around selling it.
After that we went to the tech crew training. We observe the various standard operations for marking a light and the properly way to set up a truss and the various lighting.
After dinner, we then have a mini meeting with Harry, over the updates of the stuff we going to do for the next 2 weeks for the English Christmassing before we call it a day.
