Week 8

Good morning everyone. I started out the day figuring out how to set a template for the tricaster it took me the whole morning to figure it out. At first we will exporting in ,cg / .png file but the tricaster doesnt seems to be able to let it edit on the spot. So after numerous trial and error we finally realise it will only edit on a cgxml file but apparently when we export from live text there is alot of different errors is only when i realise that i have to import the empty folders then it work.

After lunch, i retrace 2 cables that i lay the other time where does it go from the mac mini . It took me quite awhile. The whole crew got confuse because someone label it wrongly previously hence while retracing it we have a problem. We manage to rectify the problem and relabel it.  

After that i relay 1 audio cables. We have to cut the audio cables and convert it from mono stereo. Harry guided me on it. 

After finishing it, I then went to each of the cameras and test the program volume if it will works because we relay the cables. After sorting out some remaining stuff we call it a day.

Good morning everyone. I started in the morning installing some racks in the trailer. After that I guided kent how to use the remote camera. After that i have a crash course with Harry on how do i use the vision mixer properly adding in the titles and etc. 

After that we prepare for the christmas program. I was the Cam 2 for this show. Before the show started I assisted theme in setting up the streaming on youtube.   

After the Silver Preschool Christmas Program, the whole crew had the dinner together and prepare for the next Christmas Program. Kindergarten 'Joyful News' I was the engineer for the program. I was also in charge of the DVD & SSD recorder. As the engineer I was tasked to control the iris for the camera. At first i was pretty worried but after that I slowly get into the role. It was fun control it.

After the show we wrapped up and call it a day.

Good morning everyone, i started the day by assisting harry and phi to weight trailer. We needed to balance the trailer and plan for the counter balance. We also have to plan the route for the driving of the trailer to scottish rite.

After lunch, Harry re-terminate a lan cable while the rest of us, calibrated the monitor and fixed up the christmas for the trailer. After that we wrapped up and tidy up the trailer and seek all the holes for it. We have to seek the holes as it is reported in the news that the storm is coming.

After that we called it a day.

School is close today there to natural circumstances.

Good morning everyone. We started off the morning by rearranging the studio and set up the studio with a white backdrop for a wedding portrait shoot next week. We set up two chimera as fill and key light and a 300 as a back light. In order to cover up the creases we will be overexposing the backdrop 4 stops higher.

After that, Alex basically guide me abit on the lighting console. It was a touch and go thingy hopefully I will be able to mimic the steps next week.

After lunch, we went to home depot to buy bags of sandbags and some other hooks and screws to top up our toolsbox. We have to buy it to counter the trailer backweight. After that we set up a mixer and their DI box for a show in Roman's Cafe. 

After dinner, the whole crew watch the rehearsal for Cantonese ChristmasSing. Harry basically brief us what to do and prepare us for the event. Also he show his plan for the English ChristmasSing.

Hello everyone. There is two Cantonese Christmas shows going on today We started out the day by preparing for it. I set up everything and waiting for the show to start. 

For both the shows I was the engineer. I am in charge of the exposure making sure is not over or under expose.  It was tough for me in the first show because the first show. The tech crew have issues with their lightings so i have to go with my guts feeling because i arent sure their lighting cue.

For the second show, the tech crew manage to rectify the problem and I manage to get everything within my fingertips so it was much more smoother.

After the show we went to help tidy up the sanctuary to prepare for tomorrow sunday worship service. After tidying up we call it a day.

Good morning everyone. Started the day by helping the techcrew to set up the Karray speaker and lay cables for the English Christmasing rehearsal.

Moving on after setting up the stuff, We heading back to the trailer to prepare for the Cantonese Worship. I started by working on the stream. 

After making sure the stream start up I went into the sanctuary to be a camera operator.   

After the Cantonese Worship, It is the English Worship for this worship i was more layback, I set up the stream. Then I teaches the younger kids on how to operate the CCU. It was a previous CCU so everyone have to relearn for scratch.

After lunch, I sit through the english christmasing rehersal, while picking up some cutaways here and there to help to shoot some behind the scene for their promo reel to feature the crews hardwork. I also help to lay some network cable from the trailer to the cafeteria so that harry could test the sound to the mixer and back. 

After that we tear down everything and call it a day.
